Academic Life at Mtendere
Overview
Mtendere Secondary School is an all-male, boarding school. It was opened by the Marist Brothers in 1946 with 124 students at night.
Mtendere Secondary School offers education from Form 1 to Form 4.
The school follows a comprehensive curriculum that includes core subjects such as Agriculture, Biology, Chichewa, English and Mathematics. Other subjects include Computer Studies, Chemistry, Physics, Geography.
Starting from 1997, expanded its inclusivity by allowing non-Catholic students to join the school.
Achievements
- The school has consistently achieved impressive results on national exams, including a 100% pass record on the MSCE exam in 2013.
